Porte Brown Announces Ashley Trabaris Named a 2026 Illinois CPA Society Women to Watch Emerging Leader Award Recipient

Porte Brown is pleased to announce that Ashley Trabaris, CPA, MST, Senior Manager, has been named a recipient of the 2026 Illinois CPA Society (ICPAS) Women to Watch Emerging Leader Award.

The ICPAS Women to Watch Awards recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to the accounting profession, their organizations, and the development of women as leaders. The award is presented in two categories—Emerging Leader and Experienced Leader—and honors professionals who demonstrate leadership, commitment to the profession, and support for advancing women in accounting.

Trabaris is a Senior Manager at Porte Brown LLC and specializes in state and local tax compliance, planning, and advisory services. She advises businesses and individuals on a wide range of tax and accounting matters, including sales and use tax, federal and state income tax, financial statement preparation and analysis, payroll, and general business consulting. She is widely recognized within the firm as a trusted resource on state and local tax matters and serves as a key leader in helping clients navigate complex and evolving tax regulations.

In addition to her client service responsibilities, Trabaris plays an important role in Porte Brown’s learning and development initiatives. She helps guide internal staff development efforts, mentors team members across all levels, and serves as a leading resource for tax training, firm processes, and technical guidance. She also co-leads the firm’s SALT team and helps support its internal operations, workflow management, and strategic direction.

This year’s Women to Watch Award recipients will be recognized in connection with the ICPAS Women’s Leadership Forum, where award winners are invited to participate in a panel discussion as part of the 2026 program.

Trabaris earned a Master of Science in Taxation from Northern Illinois University and a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Judson University. She is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of Illinois.
